Who Should the Color Guy Be?

I am a big believer in not complaining unless you can find someone better. Fans across the country always want a new coach, even though they aren't going to get a better one than they have now. So, when I complain about Split being our color guy I have a pretty good feeling that there is someone out there who could do better.

Before we get to that, I have a question. When was the last time Split was on a basketball team? If he played in college I would semi-forgive the JTN (Jayhawk Television Network) for hiring him, although I still wouldn't be a big fan.

And the answer is...

Paul Splittorff played college basketball for Morningside College in Iowa. Don't believe me, go here. Who guessed you would find it on the Royals team page? I tried Wiki, but for what might be the first time ever Wiki didn't answer my answers.

OK, now that we got that out of the way let's talk about potential replacements.

The candidates:

Ryan Robertson
Mark Randall
and my personal favorite Jeff Boschee

Basically, they are all former players who seem like they would be good broadcasters. Randall is a little old school so he might be a better fit for the broadcasting job, but I'm not sure. Boschee would seem to be a good fit, he wouldn't seem impossibly small compared to "WOW!" (if you notice, Dave Armstrong says "WOW!" every single time something exciting happens, it is really funny when you know it is coming) and would do a good job.

Boschee gets my vote, who gets yours? Comment up if you have a strong feeling about this.

MU-KU preview should be up sometime tonight/tomorrow morning.

Rock Chalk!
