Las Vegas Bowl/Vikings vs. Packers Thread

Well, tonight is a great night to be able to sit down and watch some football. We continue to have the NFL Network Thursday night games with what could be Brett Favre's last game ever in Lambeau Field. Vikings' QB Tarvaris Jackson will be making his first ever start as a 2nd round rookie out of Alabama State. These teams are still in the playoff picture even though they are both 6-8. I will take the Vikings to win in an upset 17-13.

In what will almost definately be a more exciting game, Brigham Young University and Oregon University play eachother in the Las Vegas Bowl. BYU's star QB John Beck leads the 10-2 Cougars against the 7-5 Ducks lead by Ryan Leaf's little brother Brady Leaf, a Junior QB for Oregon. BYU has had a great year and probably deserved to go to a higher bowl (but couldn't because of bowl tie-ins). I picked the underdog in this game, Oregon to win, by the score 35-31.

Lastly, just for a couple of you basketball fanatics 6th ranked Duke takes on 24th ranked Gonzaga later tonight at 9:00 EST. It will be on ESPN2 and should be one of the better non-conference college basketball games of this 06-07 season.
