Jayhawks Beat Winston Salem State

Well, the Jayhawks did exactly what they should have done against weak Winston Salem State, beat them handidly 94-43. Brandon Rush had his second consecutive good game, scoring 15 points including 7 points in the first 1:02 of the second half. More on the game tomorrow with a full game recap, as we look ahead to a much more formidable foe in Boston College when they visit Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday.

In other sports news:

In case you haven't watched ESPN all day, Allen Iverson was traded today to the Nuggets along with former Oklahoma State star Ivan McFarlin for two 2007 1st round picks, PG Andre Miller and F Joe Smith and the cap relief he will bring come this summer. I think that Denver and Philadelphia both got good deals, Philly had to trade him and received quite a bit in the situation they were in. Denver gets one of the best scorers in the game, and once he pairs up with 'Melo (as long as there is no more sucker punches in his future) the Nuggets might be a player in the Western Conference.

Also, TCU is handily beating Northern Illionis in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. As I write this it is 30-0 with Texas Christian University in the lead, and their 4th ranked run defense held Garrett Wolfe, who was on pace for over 2,000 yards to about 10 so far. Yikes!
