WE ARE GOING TO THE FINAL FOUR!!!

Yowza, was that a close one.

My heart is still not beating regularly, and it will take a little while for me to regain normality. Bundles more on the game in the next couple of days, then we will turn our focus on the North Carolina Tar Heels.

But before we get there, I just want to say 'Thank You' to one Sasha Kaun. Yes, Sasha Kaun. Sasha Kaun was the Most Valuable Player of this NCAA Tournament. Sasha Freakin' Kaun. I have advocated his playing time to decrease all season long, but I was obviously wrong. He played better than anyone else both today and (arguably) Friday night, putting together the best two games of his career on back-to-back games in the NCAA Tournament. God, I love Sasha Kaun right now.

Sasha. Freakin'. Kaun.

We did it. We got to the Final Four. Thanks to Sasha Kaun.

HCBS
I gotta give HCBS some props. I know I've been hard on him in the past, especially on the in-game strategy department, but he did a great job today. Davidson ran a complex offense, but we were well prepared for everything they threw at us. The switch to a Box and 1 in the second half was THE deciding factor in this game (along with having the depth to run fresh guys at Curry all game).

He also rode Sasha when it was clear he was our most productive player, and wasn't afraid to give Case and Aldrich run when we got into a bit of foul trouble. If you look at the box score, it is difficult to determine how we won this game- we had an edge on the boards, but nothing huge. We only had two guys in double figures scoring. We had tons of turnovers, and FTAs were a wash.

This game was won with a team defensive concept, and the credit for that has to go to Mr. Self.

Agonizing...
I honestly don't know how Bill made it through yesterday's game, because those were the most agonizing two plus hours I have ever experienced.

But all is well and now we can pack our bags for the River Walk!
