A little Tuesday pictorial fun for you all. Couple (obvious) notes: Kevin Young probably should play more, even with his shoddy defense, TRob and Tyshawn have been great, and Releford has been a lot better offensively than I thought he would.
I'm gonna miss this place.
Major conference KenPom pyth scores over the last 9.5 seasons. I made this to show the strange track of the Pac-10/Pac-12 --- but look at that 2008 season! The team that finished on top that season must have been pretty good, yep.

New Logo is LIVE!!! After an extensive vote we had a one vote differential between option #1 and #3. I had duplicate IP's pulled and the State of Kansas was still the winner. Special thanks to JHawr1 for his submission, congrats on your prize and most likely a HOF nomination and induction. I also wanted to personally thank all the other individuals that entered. I know I speak for quite a few people on here when I say that I was blown away by the quality of the response to this contest. I was a little nervous when we got this going and I've ended up with enough quality options that I wish I could use multiple logos. Thanks again to JHawr1 and also JaxJayhawk who's had several great designs and came in a close second. If you could both email me I'd like to go ahead and give second place a prize as well.
Here's a little chart that gives a different view of the KU three point defense. This chart shows how many more (or fewer points) KU opponents would have scored in a game if they "shot their average" from the 3, still taking the same number of shots. For example, UCLA shot 14 3-pointers against KU in Maui. With UCLA's 30% 3P% they'd expect on average to sink 4.2 of them for 12.6 points. Instead, they sank 8 for 24 points, resulting in 11.4 points more than they "should have" scored. My lazy-ass guesstimate is that, luck aside, our defense is spotting tournament-caliber teams one made 3 per game.
Come on Dr. Zenger, let the "Fighting Fedora's" era begin!
