Not that anyone is shocked, Missouri is still obsessed with playing Kansas.
My family and I are the biggest Jayhawk fans, my boyfriend especially, so this year I decided to get us tickets to a game. So on March 3rd I told him to get in the car we were going to the game. The look on his face was PRICELESS! We hopped in the car and drove 10 hours from Ohio. The three hours we waited until the game seemed like forever but when we finally stepped in Allen Fieldhouse we both had our moment.... We were really there!! We walked around and took everything in and got pictures. The game was amazing, going into the half we both were a little worried but our boys came back and played their hearts out and took #11! I was a little bummed because there were no autographs that night so I wasn't able to get my favorite player (Kelly Oubre Jr.) to sign the ball I brought for my son, but as we were leaving we walked out and here came Cliff Alexander and Perry Ellis and they both signed my boyfriend's jersey and I got our sign autographed for our son. They were both extremely nice guys! We went to a little bar down the street to celebrate and headed back to our hotel to get a few hours of sleep then headed back home. All of our friends and family were at home watching and we even made it on ESPN2! Everyone we met while we were there was so friendly and welcoming. Most AMAZING experience EVER!!!
Just a little update on how the Sunflower Showdown went for the 2012-2013 year. Turns out it went pretty good if you're a Jayhawk fan.
A colorized version of the picture I posted earlier.
A picture my brother drew quite some time ago. What makes it even more awesome is all the faces in the crowd - some that are friends of his, but even more that are fun. Can you find Waldo? Or Mario? Thought with Misery going out in the first round and us in the Final Four, it was an appropriate time to post it.
It's all over but the bitter recriminations, as FLJhawk emerges from the fray, flying up into the sky, ever higher, the Pac-12 Championship Trophy clenched in his jaws. He blazes like a second sun, far beyond the grasp of his shadowy nemesis tequilaprophet, who curses Louisville for only being able to win twice more. The people of America will sing of this victory one day, as they eat their Wheat Thins. They will look up to the sky, hearts brimming with gratitude, crumbs flying as they proclaim: Hail FLJhawk! Hail FLJhawk! He won by at least 5 points!
First two people to comment on the post win a Wheat Thin prize pack. Couple boxes of Wheat Thins, some stress balls, a Coby headset, mini-basketball hoop, and a Wheat Thins koozie!!!! And go!
Postseason Honors Continue. Self NCOY, Robinson 1st Team AA and Taylor with the 3rd Team AA mention from Sporting News.
