Good read. I've been a little back and forth on playing Missouri again. Painfully, it took this article by Seth Davis to get me back on the side of maybe we shouldn't be playing them anytime soon.

A Tevin Shaw article about how Rutgers missed on this kid but also offers some insight into Kansas and HCCW establishing a relationship with a high school that has produced 3 NFL 1st rounders.

Piscataway's Shaw headed to Kansas

Iowa backed out of an offer at the last minute (like the bug boyz to Mortenson) and KU jumped at the chance. It's just a verbal at the moment until he can get on campus for a visit.

There are probably 3 things that stick out to me from the article:
1. They know Jersey boy Charlie Weis.
2. It is great to develop a positive relationship with this program - the two-time defending North 2 Group IV champions who are widely regarded as the state’s top public school program that has produced dozens of scholarship players over the years, three of whom became first-round NFL draft picks.
3. Shaw is a two-sport star who reached the state final of last year’s NJSIAA wrestling tournament at 171 pounds and is favored to win a title at 182 pounds this year.

This link (http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1324993) is to a rivals page from before KU stepped up.

He also says the Big 12 currently has 11 members, so take this with a big grain of salt.

Dislike for Kietzman aside, is there any validity to this?

I think his point of, "one side dominating" (in basketball) makes it not a rivalry is one we talk about with KState quite a bit. However, I think that argument transcends the KU/MU rivalry.

Thoughts?
