Kansas Football added one more of the #Louisianimals to their number this weekend, along with two Juco recruits.
Three-star DE Josh Smith, teammate of five-star commit Devonta Jason and four-star commit Corione Harris, verbally pledged to David Beaty and the Jayhawks today after spending the weekend in Lawrence. Smith is a former Missouri commit and currently holds other offers from Iowa State, Colorado State, Houston, and several other C-USA schools.
Smith, Jason, and Harris all play at Landry-Walker High School in New Orleans, LA, which, in case you don’t recall, is the same place safety Mike Lee came from. Kansas currently has five commits out of Louisiana for the 2018 class.
Juco DT Jonathan Lolohea and Juco DT Charles Cameron also pledged to Kansas this weekend. They will both play for Copiah-Lincoln CC (MS) and have apparently discussed pledging to KU together in the past.
Lolohea is a three-star DT with a monster offer list that includes Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State, K-State, Maryland, Oregon State, TCU, Washington State, and Wisconsin.
As for Cameron, he is currently rated as a two-star DT with an offer list that includes Colorado, Colorado State, Louisville, Southern Miss, and UNLV.
Per Rivals, Kansas has 13 verbal commits, and has moved back up to #12 in the class recruiting rankings.
