Kansas Volleyball played the minimum number of sets possible in cruising through the Bulldog Invitational in Starkville, MS this weekend.
The Jayhawks took down host Mississippi State on Friday night 25-22, 25-20, 25-17, then breezed past Eastern Washington 25-13, 25-15, 25-21 and Lamar 25-17, 25-14, 25-9 on Saturday.
Junior Madison Rigdon was named MVP of the tournament while senior Cassie Wait was named Most Outstanding Libero.
For winning the tournament, all the players reportedly got bobblehead bulldogs. Kelsie Payne is quoted as saying, “This is better than the All-American thing.”

You do you, Kelsie.
The Jayhawks return home to host the Kansas Invitational on Friday, Sept 2 for a pair of games: a noon matchup against Chicago State and a 7 PM tilt against Maryland. The tournament will wrap up with a matchup against Arkansas on Saturday at 1:30. If you weren’t able to procure season tickets, you probably won’t be able to go in person. However, every home match this year will be broadcast on some combination of the Jayhawk Television Network, Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, ESPNU, or WatchESPN/ESPN3.
