Andrew White has finally been freed. The former Jayhawk is transferring to play for Tim Miles at Nebraska, after an initial list of Notre Dame, Florida State, and some other smaller schools.
Nebraska will probably be a good fit for White, with the Huskers losing their two best wing players after next season, so White could potentially be their sixth man next year and start as a Senior.
White didn't get much playing time as a Jayhawk: just 6.3 minutes per game in 18 games last year, but his tempo free numbers painted the picture of a guy definitely good enough to play at Nebraska. He posted a 55.8% eFG and also a 17.2% defensive rebounding percentage, which is quite good for a wing player in Bill Self's system.
White will be forced to sit out this next season and then will be eligible in the 2015-16 season for the Huskers.
