I never used to be recruiting guy, but what am I going to do, watch football? Anyways, 2015 Las Vegas big man Stephen Zimmerman narrowed his list to 8 today via his twitter account, and Kansas made the cut.
I would peg Arizona, North Carolina, and UNLV as the favorites right now, but one can imagine that with all of the big men that Kansas has put through the program the last few years, that Zimmerman is keeping an eye on them as well.
As for Zimmerman as a player, he is currently listed as the 4th best player in 2015 according to Rivals and 5th in 247's composite rankings.
Personally, though I obviously haven't seen a ton of him, I think Zimmerman is the best guy in the class. He has some room to get bigger and stronger, and he needs to develop his back to the basket game a bit more, but even though he's a bit inconsistent with his jumper right now, he's a perfect fit for the high low offense. He can put the ball on the floor and also run the floor really well. If he does develop that jumper, he could be a killer.
