Occasional Update on the All Time Wins Race

Stay connected for news and updates

If we can take a moment and look beyond the borders of Jayhawk Nation for a minute, lets see how we continue to stack up against the bluest of blue bloods around college hoops.

Coming into this season, the All Time Wins Race looked like this:

Team Wins

Kentucky 2090

Kansas 2070

North Carolina 2065

Duke 1971

As you all know, this is somewhat of a down year for Kentucky, and a pretty darn terrible year for North Carolina. How has that changed the score? Here's the updated totals on 2/13/2013:

Team Wins

Kentucky 2107

Kansas 2090

North Carolina 2081

Duke 1992

Note: Kansas and Kentucky both have 7 regular season games remaining; Duke and UNC each have 8.

For the mathematically challenged, Kansas has:

  • Picked up 3 games on Kentucky
  • Increased its lead on North Carolina by 4
  • Lost one game in its lead on Duke (from 99 to 98).

Also, the next time someone tries to lump Indiana in with the Blue Blood Club, remember, they have around 400 fewer victories than we do.

How do you see this race looking at the end of this season?
