Animated Drive Chart brought to you by Gameday Depot.

Pretty much exactly how you'll remember it. Kansas looked good early, forced NIU to punt, put together long sustained drives and even finished more than they didn't early. That slowly faded away, an int for six points was immediately answered by NIU and from that point on the morale seemed to sink.

The three drives I'd like back are the first drive in the game where Kansas moved the ball but had to settle for three, the immediate answer by NIU after Patmon's pick six and the drive right before the pick six where we squandered good field position.

This was such a winnable game and a winnable game that could have done a lot for the program at this stage in the game. That didn't happen and it could be into next year before Charlie Weis finds himself in this position again. Either way I think this season was expendable in his mind, I just hope he doesn't think next year is.

A murderers row in the Big 12 is on deck after the bye week. Weis needs to find a way to play it close and that won't happen if our quarterback play is this ineffective and our playcalling this predictable. At some point in every game so far the other team figures us out, we haven't really recovered after that. Quick hits, quotes and more on the way today.
