Kansas Football Recruiting 2012: Jayhawks Land Junior College Linebacker Marcus Jenkins-Moore

Stay connected for news and updates

More news on the recruiting front following a big weekend of junior college visits for the Jayhawks this past weekend. Jayhawkslant.com is reporting that Kansas has recieved a commitment from Pierce Community College outside linebacker Marcus Jenkins-Moore.

Jenkins-Moore visited last weekend with his college teammate, defensive tackle Marquel Combs. Both players gave positive reviews following their visit, but Jenkins-Moore was the only one who hinted at a possible decision. The commitment brings the Jayhawk class up to nine and this marks the second junior college defensive player that has committed to Kansas this week.

Similar to Andrew Bolton, who committed earlier this week, Jenkins-Moore has an impressive offer list and Kansas will certainly need to stay on top of this one until he is officially on campus. Arizona State, Kansas State, Arkansas, Pitt, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and more have all reportedly offered the 6'3" 210 pound outside linebacker. That is pretty good company to keep and the two commitments this week could go a long way toward building momentum for Kansas on the defensive side of the ball.
