As an official, little things like this stick out and keep me up at night.
Ummm, okay. You're in perfect position and staring at the sideline. No whistle? That's fairly close though, I can understand missing this one (sort of). The H is worried about the sideline and has to cover the ball in this position. His eyes could be watching the upper body checking horse collar and facemasks. Then this happens:
Ok, now you blew your whistle. Killed the play right here. The Gators ended up snagging a few cheap yards, no biggie. Right? What? You didn't see anything and this is what we ended up with?
The play we just saw was ruled a touchdown on the field. That's not a joke. The H was sitting there and never blew that play dead. There is an official right on the sideline watching the player step out of bounds at least twice and we still see a ruling of a touchdown??? Someone tell me I'm not the only one that thinks that is insane and inexcusable.
