A few changes at the very top as LSU leapfrogs over USC to give the SEC the top two teams in the latest blogpoll. I'm a little torn on this because on some level I think the SEC is getting excessive credit here while USC is in a situation where everyone is always wanting to see more. It's really arguing over nothing at this point as both teams will have every opportunity to get into the championship game if they take care of business, but it's something to talk about at this early stage in the game.
Florida, UCLA and Kansas State record the biggest jumps which actually follows fairly closely with my own feelings coming out of the weekend. While I admit I don't have a great read on Florida, I did feel like UCLA and Kansas State earned some kudos based on who they played and how they played.
Still some skepticism surrounding Big 12 teams at the top as WVU dropped a bit after having sat idle for the week while Oklahoma didn't really gain any ground after a blowout win over a cupcake. Unfortunately I couldn't in good conscience add Kansas in order to make the 'others receiving votes' list, but I see the folks at Duke had no problem doing so. That or maybe Duke is good this year?
