I know that everyone is probably sick of conference realignment talks, though i have one that preserves most of the classic rivalries while setting up new ones that I'm anybody would want to see whether in football or basketball. I propose that all 120 BCS schools (Plus 10 FCS teams) should form 8 conferences a 16 team football playoff system, and keep the 68 team NCAA basketball tournament the same. Each of the 8 conferences will have two, 8 team divisions.
For example in the "Big 16" KU is in the west division. they would play there 7 west division teams, plus 3 teams from the east side and 2 non conference games. in basketball KU would play there division twice for 14 games plus 8 games from east division for 22 games, then based on a 31 game schedule the other 9 would be non-conference games.
so with all of the technical talk out of the way, here is my proposal for the new 8 "BCS"conferences.

Sunbelt:

(Notre Dame & Villanova will play basketball in the ACC, Marquette, DePaul, Seton Hall & Georgetown will play basketball in Conference USA, Providence & St.Johns will play basketball in the MAC.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the football tournament there would be 8 auto bid seeds and 8 at large bids. 8 teams on each side of the bracket. and for the NCAA basketball tournament there would be 28 auto bids with 40 at large bids.
this is my first article on a blog so please excuse if i have made any rookie mistakes or grammar errors. feedback would be appreciated.
