Time for a little spring football. Today should be a great day to get out and check in on the Hawks. It's our first opportunity to see what a Charlie Weis led team looks like and it's also our first chance to catch a glimpse at the present with Dayne Crist and what is perhaps the future with Jake Heaps. It's time to get excited about football again, we're selling hope in Lawrence this year and hopefully soon we can start selling success. You have to have one or the other.

Kickoff is today 28 at 1 p.m., and Jayhawk fans will be able to watch the game live on Time Warner Cable Metro Sports in the Kansas City area. Saturday's Metro Sports broadcast will feature announcers Nate Bukaty (play-by-play) and Richard Baldinger (analysis). Metro Sports is available throughout the Kansas City area on Time Warner Cable (channel 30 and 310 and in HD on 1310), Comcast (channel 258) and Knology in Lawrence (channel 37).

If you're watching, jump on and share your thoughts. If you're headed to Lawrence enjoy the day and come back later and let us know what we missed. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
