Kansas freshman guard Merv Lindsay is transferring, source told CBSSports.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanCBS) April 16, 2012
CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman is reporting that freshman guard Merv Lindsay will transfer from the University of Kansas at the end of this academic year. Lindsay was a late addition to the 2011 class for the University of Kansas and the 6'7" shooting guard from Moreno Valley California never really played much of a role on this years Final Four team.
The transfer doesn't come as a huge shock as Lindsay played just 2.2 minutes per game in during his freshman year and with an influx of young talent on the way to Lawrence, it was going to be stiff competition going forward. The departure of Lindsay means that the Jayhawks are now maxed out on scholarships. The Jayhawks would have been one over the limit had everything held to form and the expected recruiting class join in it's entirety.
