Wow.
Paige went off on Texas for 40 in Stillwater. As big as the Missouri game is next week, we are going to really need to be ready for the trip to Stillwater two days later as well.
The score sounds even worse when you learn, as I just did,
That Illinois was up 24-16 at one point. I thought Baylor just flat out gave up in our game in Waco, Illinois took that to a completely different level.
I believe the Huskers went on something
like a 38-4 run or something. Brutal stretch for Illinois.

That's ridiculous.
I know at this point Illinois probably wants Weber to just finish the season out, but it’d be tough not to fire him after the way they played today.

A laugher today. We could use one after Bramlage.

Extreme arrogance below
It’s a question of whether we win by 15 or win by 40+.
So mo one is going to do us any favors?
It’s been frustrating watching everyone lose to Mizzou. I still can’t freaking believe we lost that damn game. Looks like it’s up to KSU or ISU to give us some breathing room.

Looks like Home of the Chiefs happened tonight.
And here I thought they were doing well.
Okay, boys, time for a nice and easy 40 point win.
I have no idea how EJ made that.

Would they want him?
Most programs don’t make a habit of re-hiring coaches that left them for “greener pastures,” and I feel like a self-entitled institution like A&M could have that attitude.

But the one I am most worried about overlooking is the game in Stillwater. Look at how we played the game after the tOSU win and the game after the first big Baylor win. If we have a letdown like that after we beat Missouri, it could really hurt.

more worried about the letdown if we beat Missouri

I hadn't seen this before reading the notes on KU Athletics,
but tonight was KU’s 1,000th conference victory. I have to believe KU is one of the first few teams to do that.
Pretty cool number, even if it’s something most people won’t know, or care about.
Couldn't watch live tonight...
But reviewing the game now…and is it me, or does Wesley foul pretty much every time he gets into the game? His fouls-per-min average must me just….Destrominating. I had to make up a work because one doesn’t exist for it.
Also noticed that...
Teahan shoots like, 80% when the game is out of reach. When we’re close, or even the rare times when we trail, it’s always kissing the wrong side of the rim. I swear, the kid doesn’t know how to shoot without a lead. When we “REALLY” need a 3, he’s like, 3-15.
Also, upon further pondering of the Wesley issue, seems he might be guarding T-Rob in practice. That might make him TOO physical for games. If that’s the case, good. Only, Danny better get him ready in the offseason.
I looked up the Teahan stats earlier this year, and your perception is inconsistent with them
As of mid-January, Teahan only had 2 made 3-pointers after the 10:00 of the second half in games we beat non-power opponents.
Regardless
Teahan needs to take an actual clutch out of a Lamborghini, grind it up into a liquid, and inject it into his shooting arm. The guy has made two or three shots all season when it counts. We need more from him, but we’re not going to get it. So we need to just sack up and have our starters win games and stop looking to the bench for anything. They just don’t have it in them. This problem is (Thank God) unique to this year, so hopefully we won’t be talking about it again in seasons to come.
by rockchalk1187 on Feb 19, 2012 10:11 PM CST up reply actions
I don't think Teahan should bother trying to please people who think he's only hit 2 or 3 shots when it counted this year.
The MU and Baylor games were only two weeks ago. That seems awfully quick to forget.
