A clean sweep: Tyshawn Taylor talks it up after KU victory | KUsports.com
“They had their time to talk to me while I was warming up and during the game, so I figured I had my time to talk to them a little bit after the game. After we get a win, it’s my time to talk a little bit,”
KU holds on for 59-53 win over K-State - KansasCity.com
The game was defense, hustle and grit. The kind of game Bill Self loves, when he wins it.

Notebook: Jeff Withey 1 block short of triple-double | KUsports.com
Seems like we've had several games where he's been 1, 2 or 3 blocks from the mark.
Kevin Haskin: Taylor nearly costs KU, but also makes KU | CJOnline.com
I think this nails it. As frustrating as he can be at times. This team isn't top five and competing for the Big 12 without this guy. Another great Jayhawk story.
Frank Martin: Game was ‘men’ vs. ‘kids’ | KUsports.com
Love him or hate him, I still dig the guys passion and the fact that he wears his emotions on his sleeve a bit. Not sure I'd like it if he was my coach, but I find him refreshing on another bench.

C-USA, MWC dissolving to form new league - CBSSports.com
I guess I kind of like it. Could create a decent basketball league at times. Not sure how much it does for football long term. That Hawaii to East Carolina trip is an awful long one.

Wichita, Ks...
Home of We Suck University. I’m sorry, but I hate WSU. I have nothing against the university or the athletes, but its the fans. I can tolerate KState fans a lot more then WSU. Honestly, I think I can tolerate Mizzou fans more. WSU is having a great season for them, but I want nothing more them that team to fall on its face and soon. It’s rough goin to a bar to watch a KU game when WSU is playing. My friend said it best Sat, look at the KU fans then the WSU fans, KU fans have won before and it shows. This is coming from a Penn State fan. Wichita State fan just annoy me. Sorry end rant.

If it makes you feel better
Those outside of Wichita don’t think of WSU at all.

Just meant
that that’s your trump card when they talk smack. Irrelevance.
I don't have much problem with them.
But I don’t deal with them much. It is quite head scratching when they play the “KU is scared to play us” card. I just kind of want to pet them on the head and say "awww you’re stupid "

Instead of petting them on the head and saying "aww you're stupid" you should say...
“It’s a good thing you’re pretty.” Nice backhanded compliment that gets the point across without the name calling. :)

According to Bob Knight
we’re one of deepest teams in the country and routinely go 9-deep.
The name of that song played at KC Comets games in the '80's was Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase." Now you know.
At that moment early in the first half...
I had to mention that I think ol’ Bob is probably getting senile.
No, I just don't think he tries very hard.
I’m sure he hasn’t read a scouting report in years.
His analysis is still generally insightful but in terms of in-game information he’s pretty bad.

To be fair,
we did play nine people last night.
But I did have to scratch my head when he mentioned that.
www.oreadboomkings.fantake.com
playing 9 people
is still a far cry from “one of deepest teams in the country”.
He claimed that the last game he called with KU
It really makes me wonder what he’s thinking

he's going off his last scouting report
he had when he was at TT…

Sadly, this is probably true.
It’s pretty clear he does zero homework on the teams. He uses what he “knows” and goes with it. That’s why he gets stuck on certain things in a game, such as “shot fake” or “that’s a clear push off”. He has nothing else to go to.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

I'm loving this Super-Conference situation
the more of this stuff that happens that is clearly just messed up, the better. The more the Big East tries to bring in San Diego State, the better. It is things like this that will finally bring conference reallignment to a head and bring the whole thing crashing to the ground.

SDSU
in the Big East. (Shakes head)
Are there a bunch of women in charge or what? (No offense intended LadyJ)
I saw a funny stat on this...
Something about Rutgers being 600 miles closer to Curacao, Venezuela than it is to San Diego State.

None taken :)
However, I tend to think women are more logical (yes, I’m biased). Remember most women read instructions before assembling something while most men barrel into it. Key word is most.
This has the look and feel of barreling into a project rather than step back and read the instructions and figure the best course of action.

Hmmm. You've just challenged one of my deeply held beliefs.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

I realize this is getting off topic, but
have you all read “The End Of Men” article?
http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/07/the-end-of-men/8135/
A lot of speculation and conjecture, but even so, some very, very interesting data is outlined about gender graduation rates, etc. Whether you agree or disagree, I feel like this is required reading.

I remember reading that article when it came out
It’s very interested that men have created a society that women seem best adapted to succeed in.
Tech is all over A&M in the first half.
24-9 with just over 6 minutes left.
Tech is now down 46-38 with 47.9 to go in the game.
Scored 14 points in 25+ minutes. Yikes.
Finished 47-38...
I feel awful for the fans of either of those teams.
