Nasir Moore To Kansas: Big Junior College Corner Decides On Signing Day
The Jayhawks received their first bit of last minute news today as corner Nasir Moore has decided to go ahead and pull the trigger for Kansas. JayhawkSlant is reporting that the big junior college corner has elected to sign with Kansas at the last minute.
It was previously believed that Moore would take further visits and sign on or around his birthday on February 18th, but this is a welcome development for the Jayhawk class. Moore checks in at 6'1" 185 so he has good size and has spent this past year at East Los Angeles College in Monterrey California.
Moore represents the 8th junior college player expected to sign with Kansas at this point and he brings the size and speed to bring some added competition and depth to the defensive backfield this Fall.

Damn, you have to like that size. No problem (size-wise) covering these monster WRs in the Big 12 today.

I know you like the 5'10" CB's...
The name of that song played at KC Comets games in the '80's was Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase." Now you know.
oh, I love national signing day
it really is a bit like Christmas. That said, this is HUGE. DB is one of our thinnests spots on an already thin defense. I gotta think DB’s across the country have to be taking a long look at KU and Dave Campo.

Any idea on his years of eligibility?
Is he a three-year guy like Baty or does he only have two left?
I think he's a standard JuCo guy
so it would be 2. From what I gather, the Baty situation is pretty rare.

Not that anyone cares, but ELAC is in Monterey Park, which is considerably different
than Monterrey, i.e. East Los Angeles vs coastal Northern California

Nasir a diamond
I have a really good feeling about this guy. I think he is really going to surprise some people. People tend to think of West Coasters as soft, don’t like to hit, etc. I think this is going to be a real hitter for us.
