Kansas tips off the basketball season for real tonight. From this point forward it counts and Kansas looks to repeat as Big 12 champs for a ninth straight time while returning to the NCAA tournament and hopefully making some equally loud noise this March. Last year was a great year for Jayhawk fans as Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor took their turns leading Kansas to a memorable season. This year that chore rests on the shoulders of Jeff Withey, Elijah Johnson, Travis Releford and a host of new faces. Tonight we start that long journey toward March.
