Taking a first glance at the Oklahoma State Cowboy depth chart ahead of the Jayhawk's matchup with this weekend.
Kansas takes on Oklahoma State this week and it's a Cowboy team that appears to be in a small transitional phase. Yes this is still a very good team but this is a team that lost Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon, those are huge losses. They are still potent offensively and they are actually probably a stronger unit on the defensive side of the ball, at this point it's just tough to tell exactly what they have because the Cowboys have beaten the bad teams by a wide margin and lost to both quality opponents early. This game isn't likely to tell us much more.
LT 71 Parker Graham (6-7; 315; Jr; Webb City, MO) - First full year as a starter, started five games in 2011.

26 Desmond Roland (6-2; 203; So; Dallas, TX)
FB 9 Kye Staley (5-10; 236; Sr; Guthrie, OK) - Effective receiver out of the backfield.
44 Jeremy Seaton (6-2; 247; RFr; Cashion, OK)
Offensively this is a new group with Joseph Randle being the primary weapon that is returning to action. At quarterback both will see time but Walsh seems to be getting more snaps, but the fanbase seems high on Hunt. Tracy Moore and Josh Stewart are weapons in the passing game and the offensive line has a pair guards anchoring an inexperienced group that has developed nicely early on.

Obviously you can see that the defensive unit it the more experienced of the two and that could be a big reason why we're seeing improvement from last year. That said the Cowboys are inexperienced up front, but that front four is supported by a very solid linebacker position that has been a stabilizing group for the Cowboys. The secondary is strong as well with a good mix of talent and experience. All in all it's a defensive unit that should expect to be better than last year, they'll need to prove that with increased competition.
