John Rieger-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
Kansas will need all the weapons it can muster to beat the Wildcats, and Cox is a big one.
Good sign the #kufball RB could be ready for Saturday vs K-State.... "@taylor_jay_cox: 6a.m workouts all this week... fresh!"

Taylor Cox hurt his right leg in the first half of KU's loss to Northern Illinois last weekend, but the bye week seems to have done wonders for him. The Tweet above seems to indicate that he is taking part in those workouts and the training staff has told Charlie Weis that he "has a chance of playing in the next game."
With Anthony Pierson running well and the return of James Sims, Cox probably won't get a ton of carries, but with the Junior averaging 5.9 yards per carry on the season with a touchdown in each of the team's first two games, it would obviously be a big plus to have him on the field against the Wildcats, who rank 55th against the run in terms of S&P.
