Numbers don’t lie: Kansas is good | KUsports.com
I'm still a little uncertain on how I feel about everything. On the one hand we're exceeding expectations heading into the year which is what Bill Self does. On the other hand the expectations have really started to skyrocket which makes enjoying the ride a bit more challenging.

Keller should be a familiar face to everyone.
Travis Releford’s play holds Jayhawks together - KansasCity.com
Travis Releford has proved to be a glue guy this season for the Kansas Jayhawks. His willingness to do everything it takes for Kansas to win seemingly takes different shapes each game and, in an unflashy way, he has helped keep the Jayhawks on track during a nine-game winning streak.

I've got a whole bunch of questions on this topic. Might have to make for a post.

Filling the gaps: Weis seeks jucos, transfers to bolster KU's roster | KUsports.com
Looks like Crawley and Wilson are heading to CU so we missed on them. No news out of our JUCO visitors this weekend but we did land an offensive tackle prospect goes by the name Sean Connolly. Sounds like a project, but I have not problem with that way of thinking on the o-line.

Penn State Nittany Lions -- Terse Jerry Sandusky calls Joe Paterno's death 'sad day' - ESPN
Why is there an exclamation point after the first phrase? This guy is just a wacko.

Rapid Reaction: Patriots 23, Ravens 20 - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston
Hated the end of this one and I really was hoping for the Ravens. Anyone else ever here the phrase Massholes? No offense to anyone from Mass. I'm just curious because I heard it for the first time recently.

The Ravens/Patriots game
was the only NFL game I watched in entirety all season. I was rooting for the Ravens. Flacco could have run for the first down, (and run out of bounds) on that 3rd and 1. Why he decided to try to thread that needle is beyond me.
Hadn’t heard “massholes”…..but I like it.

The NFL and the media are drooling over this matchup
Boston vs. New York!!!!!
I was rooting for the Ravens and Niners. At least the games were close and (fairly) well-played.
Foxborough vs East Rutherford
if you want to get down to it…
The name of that song played at KC Comets games in the '80's was Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase." Now you know.
when I met my fiance
in college, her family moved to Boston, and they use it regularly up there to describe the drivers. If a car is merging into your lane, it is expected that you yield. they basically just do what they want and you’d better not be in their way.
Pay heed...
it's true. it mainly applies to driving
i went to school in mass and lived there with my wife right after we got married. they call themselves massholes. it’s just the way it is out there.

Not from Mass
But I have been a Patriots fan for awhile. Mainly because I just like to see good football. I also tend to root for any team that is playing really well, such as the Packers this season.
It's not that I'm lazy; it's that I just don't care.
Sounds like Kenneth Crawley is a CU buff
So cross him and I assume his friend that de-committed from us, committed to CU but visited KU last weekend

HOOKERS!!! HOOORAY!!!

sounds like Seth Russell switched to Baylor
though given that we have Heaps I am not too broken up about it
I write everywhere. You're probably better off following me on twitter
Depth is an issue at QB

Well Weis is really going to have to pull some rabbits out of his hat
We probably need 10 more recruits before signing day.

he mentioned more 5th year transfers...
in May that he would save space for.

That's an interesting way to go about it.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

Short term fix
It sounds like basically every single 5th year senior that Weis ever recruited is going to get an offer for one last hurrah at KU – the land of second chances (a.k.a. the island of mis-fit toys).

And with his NFL connections, he can sell it.
Hope it turns out well.

I'm surprised more coaches don't do that
It’s the best way to deal with the problem of having to pick up recruiting so late in the year — just fill your slots with one-year guys and start working on HS kids for the next year.
Not only that but
1. They’ve already spent 4 years at a major program
2. Are proven student athletes (low drama factor)

There aren't many coaches that are only 2 years removed
from elite recruiting.
NFL or ND connections
He said would save at least a couple of spots for future transfers who will graduate in May and be eligible to play right away. Two possible candidates are: tight end Mike Ragone, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and offensive guard Trevor Robinson, of Elkhorn, Neb.
Sounds like quite the reunion they had up in South Bend on that recruiting weekend when he was wooing Crist, hanging out with the guys, reliving the good ol’ days.
Given the situation he inherited
Weis and staff have done a damn good job. That may not fit into your doom and gloom scenario, but that’s OK.

Chaquil Reed, a 6-3, 290-pound DT from Butler County CC put on Facebook that he’s a future Jayhawk. #KUfball Another nice get @ pos. of need
Big get
We need DTs, and if he played at Butler he likely is ready to contribute for us.
