Coach Charlie Weis a Jersey straight talker | KUsports.com
We've heard this more than once.
Charlie Weis heaps praise on QB | KUsports.com
“Don’t misconstrue Jake’s height with an athletic quarterback versus a true drop-back quarterback,” Weis said. “Jake can throw it all over the yard, too.”
McCay hopes to give KU immediate boost | CJOnline.com
If McCay can play immediately it certainly ups the competition level at WR.
Washington State, Ohio State did well with new football coaches - Stewart Mandel - SI.com
This guy is NOT a fan of the Weis hire. Here's hoping our coach is seriously motivated to prove people wrong.
Women's Basketball
Kansas Jayhawks vs. Oklahoma State Cowgirls - Box Score - January 18, 2012 - ESPN
15 - 2 overall and a 4 - 1 start in the conference. Nice job by the women's team so far this year. Definitely something to keep an eye on. Last week we were in the 'others receiving votes' category. #13 A&M at home on Saturday. Win that one and this team should be ranked.
KU women notch third Big 12 road win in 65-60 victory over Oklahoma State | KUsports.com
Even more impressed that three of these have been on the road.
College Basketball
K-State hangs on to beat Texas 84-80 - KansasCity.com
Texas tried to pull a Sherron to Mario handoff to end the game and just pissed it away. They'll be ready for Kansas that's for sure.
Indiana Hoosiers vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers - Recap - January 18, 2012 - ESPN
Big win for a former Big 12 team. Honestly I thought they would do a lot better in the Big 10. I've never disliked Husker basketball I suppose so wouldn't be opposed to Doc Sadler getting things going up there.

Brasky's had a couple guys miss a few games
right around the beginning of conference play, so they got smacked around the B1G a little unfairly.
Bash the trajan font all you want
But KU switched to it in the fall of 2007, then went on to win a BCS bowl game and the NCAA tournament.
That said, I wouldn’t mind seeing the hoops unis switch back and football stay the same.
They rush the court anytime they win pretty much...
it’s kind of like us in football during the 05 season I think?

True
I can see why they would. Indiana was on a bit of a hot streak but it was their third loss in a row. Either way, glad to see Sadler get a big win. Still think the move to Big Ten will benefit them in hoops more that football. Doc’s style suits that league.
Stewart Mandel
I put no stock in this guy’s opinion of our hire. It was all over Twitter yesterday that two years ago Mandel graded KU’s hiring of Gill an “A”. He’s obviously pulling grades out of a MU logo’d hat.
Bring back the Circus!!
That does hurt the credibility a little bit...
I was questioning the Gill hire at first but came around to the idea, however, I don’t think hiring Gill would’ve ever made an A in my book. Kind of like Charlie this time.
Big 12 recruting expenses for the 2010-2011 school year.

Guess who is number 1 in men’s sports?
I would expect KU to be at or near the top
simply because the recruiting base (for all men’s sports) just isn’t as big in-state as the Texas and Oklahoma schools. Will be interesting to see where those figures go under Dr. Zenger’s watch.

Not so surprised we're at the top, as much as I'm surprised that we're so far ahead of some schools.
Missouri and OSU to be exact. I didn’t expect us to be so far in front of MU when it comes to recruiting costs.
I don't know how they allocate expenses to categories, but I doubt it's consistent across schools
I see almost no way that our recruiting expenses could be higher than K-State’s
The Triangle Blog post has great stills and video breaking down our carving up the Baylor zone
Really informative if you’re interested in learning how we attack zone defenses.
Anyone see that Shabazz is coming for a visit before making his decision?
Might be a bit late for a visit, but it’d be awesome if he was here for the Missouri game.
Looks like some fan confidence

I always love the state breakdowns. Kentucky and Kansas the only state’s not to agree that Syracuse is the team to beat in CBB
WTF is Wyoming's problem?
The name of that song played at KC Comets games in the '80's was Giorgio Moroder's "The Chase." Now you know.

I will say..
I’m glad to see that we have some pride and confidence. I mean what the hell is wrong with the State of North Carolina? They have Duke and UNC in their State and they just concede to Syracuse? Defeatist attitude. And then Mizzou is just always negative preparing for disappointment so I’m not surprised they have given up. Think like a loser and you’ll be a loser right?

If you've never been to a Final Four
it’s really a stretch to think you’d be a team to beat. Maybe they’re the team to beat in the Sweet 16?
