JUCO All American RB Taylor Cox Commits To Kansas
First commitment from the weekend. Hopefully we'll hear of at least one more, but I'm not opposed to multiple.
Now based on our last JUCO RB I'm a little nervous but it's also a position that is far better off right now than we were then. That means Cox provides competition and depth at the very least and potentially something much bigger.

With Taylor Cox being our 10th commitment for KU Football. How many spots do we have left to fill? I hope we go after Rodney Coe if we can get him, that would be 4 former U.S. Army All-American players that we would have. Crist, Heaps, and McCay being the other 3.

'12
As a sophomore in 2011, Weed (CA) College of the Siskiyous star Taylor Cox rushed for 1,507 yards on 244 attempts and scored 16 touchdowns – numbers good enough to earn him a plethora of post-season honors, including the title of first-team All-American. Check out highlights of the newest Kansas commit.
How many sr scholies?
13?
+Miller
+Webb?
+?
No clue if it's accurate, but I count 16 seniors on the KU Athletics roster.
Patterson is coming back (Right?). If everyone else is gone that’s 15 spots from seniors, plus Miller, plus Webb, and Terry (Seems like he’s probably gone). So that’s 18 spots.
So if Cox makes 10, then Ford and Brooks make 12, which should give us 6 more spots to fill, and that’s assuming nobody else leaves/transfers, which you have to think will probably happen.
Definitely don't know for certain about Webb
though Owen’s update does provide support for him being gone.
I was running off of comments (don’t remember exactly) from the week or so after CW arrived; when we were still recruiting Crist and Heaps.
Did I miss something?
Is Webb transferring?

I don't know for certain obviously, I just put his name on there because dagger had his name listed, and I've also read elsewhere that he's gone.
Webb’s Mom (Or someone pretending to be her) posted on Scout that he was gone a week or so back.
I can't imagine he wouldn't
He’s not going to beat out Crist and Heaps. There’s no point in sticking around knowing not only that you aren’t going to play, but that the new staff clearly has no use for you.
Use the forks
Next year, you'd think he would be second string, and Crist is injury prone
Unless Weis and co believe Cummings are Berglund are better options anyways.

If I were in his shoes
I wouldn’t stick around on based on the chance I could be second string under a coach whose first decision was to replace me.

Fair enough
But the kid isn’t playing in the NFL, I can’t image many good schools/programs are jumping at the chance to get him.

good programs, no
but I’m sure he’d be solid Conference USA quarterback. I’m not familiar with his personality, so he may be an “I’ll prove everybody wrong” type of guy and stick it out here. I just doubt it would be productive
Use the forks
I thought I had read
that he was the "I’ll prove everybody wrong" type of guy, but also that it was just part of being a successful QB.
other offers are Idaho, San Jose State and Utah State

Josh Ford is next!

4/ 5 spots left now that miller and webb are gone. I hope we get Crawley but it looks like he has no interest in KU now according to his list on jayhawkslant.com. I certainly hope we get Josh Ford though. I’d take a juco wide receiver as well.

Crawley's list and comments
were pre-DC. His post-DC comments were very positive.
