Kansas Jayhawk DJ Beshears Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week

After finding himself on the receiving end of the game winning touchdown against Northern Illinois, DJ Beshears finds himself on the receiving end of some special teams recognition after his performance in Saturday's game.

Prior to the game winning catch, Beshears made several big plays in the return game including a 51 yard return to set the Jayhawks up with prime field position heading into the final drive. In all the Kansas junior compiled 197 yards in the return game and 285 all purpose yards.  The performance has earned Beshears Big 12 special teams player of the week honors for the second week of the college football season.  Beshears is the first Jayhawk to receive an honor from the league during the 2011 season.
