Introducing Kansas 50 in 50

Today is a lot of things. It's the Monday after a great football win over Northern Illinois. It's a day after the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01. It's also (far less importantly) 50 days until the basketball team kicks off its season by hosting Pittsburg State on November 1st.

For the next 50 days RCT will be getting you excited for basketball season by taking a look back at last year (and even farther back), a look at the improvement of some key players the 2011-12 team will need to succeed, and a look at the college basketball landscape in general.

I do want to make it clear that this isn't supposed to take precedence over football season. After all, that sport is actually in season. Still, basketball is our biggest sport (not to mention it is my favorite sport to write about, and I need to start pulling my weight around here).

What I need from you, the readers, is this: tweets, emails, comments, whatever it may be about what you want to see written about. It could be how realignment will affect the basketball team, it could be best seasons by a shooting guard from 2000-2004, it could be how horrible of a coach Frank Haith is. I haven't planned out any of the posts (except for tomorrow's) in advance, so this will be a nice experiment that I hope you'll all enjoy as much as I plan on enjoying.
