Check out the linked post for a similar graph for defenses. It's just as ugly for us.

Sad thing is
The NMSU and Colorado games alone made up for what, like half of our season total in points? More??
Shit happens when you win championships
This cracked me up so much that I had to know...
For the SEASON, we scored 205 points.
42 came against NMSU (20% of total)
52 came against Colorado (25% of total)
Combined that is 94 of 205, so 46% of our points scored for the season came in two games! Throw in our other win (28 pts v. GT) and in our 3 wins, we scored 60% of our points for the entire season. Perhaps even more sad, we were held to single digits in FIVE out of 12 games. Holy hell, that was one horrible offense!

Thinking about it a little more...
If you only look at Big 12 play:
We scored 116 points in our 8 league games.
52 of those (45%) came in our lone win. In the remaining seven games, we scored 64 points (or 9 points per game)!

I don't like the fact
The NIU logo is at the top of this graph……and we play them in 6 weeks.
build a damn football program, beat some ass, and get on tv more.
that was the first thing I noticed too...
new coach and a lot of new players for them though so maybe they’ll take a dip.
Questions, Comments? email me at denverjhawk@hotmail.com
O vs. D
That was the O chart that they were practically off the chart, and I believe they return most of their O starters (lose a top WR & RB?), but lose D starters. It should be interesting. Another NU v.’08(?). Hopefully the good guys are on the right side of things.
Is it horrible to say
“maybe they’ll have a KU-like meltdown in their first year with a new coach”?
build a damn football program, beat some ass, and get on tv more.

I Believe
it’ll be a good game. Just not sure good for who.

I think it may be a shootout
Football Study Hall did a writeup on NIU a couple weeks ago (can’t hyperlink because I’m mobile, but the address is at the bottom. Basically, their offense looks great, but their defense may be in big trouble. They lost most of their starters to seniority, then lost all three starting linebackers for various other reasons. I get the impression they’ll be a team playing a lot of 42-35 type games.

No touching!

Until proven otherwise
I won’t believe we can get in a shootout with somebody. No matter how young their defense.

not to say they're weren't a lot of crazy things that went down in that game
just that it can happen
No touching!

I can happen
but the graph above tells me that it’s very unlikely.
