For as good as Jimmer is, this impresses me with Marcus right with him. Not to mention, Marcus Morris plays defense.

I think sometimes the efficiency of McMorris...
is overlooked in the grand scheme of things because Kansas has always been about more than one guy. BYU is Jimmer. Without Jimmer they don’t receive the pub…without Jimmer they are still a good team, but not a top team.

Yeah, he's shooting an insane amount of shots.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.
People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball...Rock Chalk Talk
The thing about the Jimmer is that he's efficient despite his play
Dude-bro flies down the court willy nilly and drains threes from 8 feet beyond the arc. It’s amazing to watch. He takes an awful lot of shots, and he makes his own shot much of the time. And you know the other team’s defense is gunning for him every game. I can’t help but admire the guy. He does have a competent supporting cast, but from what I’ve seen, he’s the one who makes them look good. They’re wide open because the other team is focused on him.
Marcus is efficient because of his play. He can be more selective with his shots, and the entire Kansas offense works to get him those shots. Kansas is fun to watch on offense because it’s such a team offense. Watching KU play offense during [the first half of] a game is just beautiful. And while the other team is certainly aware of Marcus, they don’t focus on him in the way that other teams focus on Jimmer. If Marcus didn’t have the supporting cast, he’d probably be in the hunt for POY, but I doubt he’d look near as efficient.
I'll admit to some ignorance about BYU (I've only seen the SDSU games)
But have they played any really solid defensive teams this year? I feel like an above-average perimeter defense combined with some scoring from the post will shut that team down.

Not sure if this helps,
but kenpom rates their opponents’ defense pretty high, allowing 97.7 pts per 100 possessions, compared to Kansas’ opponents 99.
Or reference...
Think back to how kstate handled them (and Jimmer) pretty easily in the tournament, by just being physical with them.

I love how Jimmer goes out of his way to find screens to get caught up in while on defense
That being said, I think the way you beat the Cougars is by shutting everyone else down, and forcing Jimmer to beat you by himself (while still making it as difficult as possible for him to get clean looks at the basket).
