Kansas Basketball 50 in 50, No. 16: Random Player Comparison

SAN ANTONIO, TX - MARCH 27: Tyshawn Taylor #10 of the Kansas Jayhawks dunks against the Virginia Commonwealth Rams during the southwest regional final of the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament at the Alamodome on March 27, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)

50 in 50 is a feature here at RCT counting down until the Jayhawks kick off the 2011 basketball season on November first. Got an idea for something you'd like to see featured here? tweet @rockchalktalk or @fetch9 or email me at fetch9 at gmail dot com.

First of all, apologies for the lateness and relative brevity of this post. I had family in town this weekend and went to the game last night so I haven't had a lot of writing time. I'll try to make it up to everyone this week.

As a bonus for this being so short, I'm going to have two random player comparisons. Leave your guesses in the comments and I'll reveal the answer either tonight in the comments or at the beginning of tomorrow's post.

Our first one features a big man from a current and/or recent KU team, and a big man who played on a recent national championship team (though it is from a couple years before he won the title)

Player Min% ORtg eFG Off Reb.% Def. Reb. % Blk %
A 10.6 108.9 64.7 15.1 17.4 12.5
B 19.2 108.7 59.4 16.1 19.6 5.8

The next one is after the jump, and features someone from this year's team and someone from the 08 title team

Player Min% usage rate ORtg eFG Off Reb. % Def. Reb % Assist% TO%
A 19.8 17% 118.4 59 8.1 7.6 11 16.6
B 70 21.9 112.1 53.1 6.3 13.1 12.6 16.2
