So I was in class thinking about KU [pretty typical for me] and had an interesting thought. That thought was Danny has made KU the place to be for big men. I thought this because he has consistently since joining the full time staff made our big men phenomenal and NBA ready. He also is still a recruiting tool because when kids hear about him as a player and find out how great of a coach he is you have to be impressed. If you think about the skill of the big men that have come to Kansas and the skill of the big men when they leave KU they aren't even the same players. Also I don't know if this has been talked about on here I'm new but Danny on show says that he is the bad cop when the players do something bad. That also is good for this team because it allows Bill not be something he isn't. That is a polarizing figure which makes his pregame speeches more effective in my opinion. The thought about Danny as a big men coach brought me to this poll. In which role has Danny had a bigger impact as, player or coach. I voted coach but I'm curious to hear what Rock Chalk Talk has to say.
