Quick Thoughts:

  • As RockChalk pointed out in the game preview, this isn't a very good team coming to Lawrence.  When Kansas outranks you in 12 of 17 categories, you haven't been very productive.
  • New Mexico State has not sacked the quarterback once this year, would you bet on that streak continuing?
  • Who will be the offensive MVP on Saturday?  I think it's fairly safe to give the options of Webb, Sims, or Patterson.  Make your case in the comments.

I'm willing to bet

NMSU gets a sack this game. Our OL is still a work in progress.

build a damn football program, beat some ass, and get on tv more.

I’m going with Sims as the offensive MVP. Granted NMSU has played some decent running teams including SDSU who thrashed the Mizzou defense a week ago, but I think we can do fairly well up front and open some lanes for the FlatTop. The kids patient and a heck of a back.

NMSU ranking 115th in the country against the run tells me Sims will be MVP. KU being last in the Big 12 in sacks allowed tells me Webb hits the dirt at least once. KU wins by double digits.

I think it will either be Sims or Biere. I’d like to see them work on getting the TE the ball more this game.

Don't get your hopes up on that.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

Not sure

our offense could hang 42 on anyone right now

I'll be disappointed if our D gives up 17 to NMSU

They’re not good.

True but

Its time for us to start gelling as we have 3 games in the rear view.
