Yeah, Lew's done a lot of great things at KU

but I’m not going to be upset about him leaving. The negative attention’s getting old.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

Me too.

Of course, I have my own personal reasons, but I’m not shedding any tears here.

yeah I agree...

there’s blood in the water so the media is going to look hard for something, but here’s the reality…

I’m sure you catch the reference.

Lew has been a good thing for the most part. Is he perfect…no, who is…but if spending a hundred grand on his travel means that we have a successful program because he can get other things done. I’m ok with it.

Yeah -

I’m not really sweating it. The Athletic Program is making loads of money for the school and if his budget includes private plane trips it seems acceptable to me. They got the KU jets in the 90’s. Are you telling me that Fredricks never flew on the jets? Hell, I flew on one of the jets…

by labbadabba on Aug 16, 2010 10:51 AM CDT up reply actions

And it's not like the University is paying for this.

It comes out of the athletic budget… the very budget that Perkins has done a great job of expanding in his time here.

That article is nothing more than, “let’s hate on the rich guy that pisses off KState and Mizzou fans.”

Great news about Stucky, Meier, etc.

Can’t wait to hear them say their school name during the MNF intros – continue to raise the profile.

made a mistake...

Stuckey didn’t play, injury. Nothing major but he sat Saturday night. It’s still looking very likely that he’ll start. Think San Diego is at KC for the Monday night opener I thought I heard.

I'm taking Tuesday off

Considered doing the Royals/Chiefs Monday doubleheader, but ultimately thought better of it.

Don't forget

James Holt is close to cracking the rotation at LB…..imagine Holt AND Stuckey lining up against the Griefs.

build a damn football program, beat some ass, and get on tv more.

I hate playing the "that reporter is biased!" card...

But doesn’t it seem like Kerkhoff is much, much harder on the Jayhawks than DeArmond is for Mizzou?

I don't mind it when a reporter is hard on a team...

but perhaps you are alluding to the fact that DeArmond is a pretty big Mizzou homer, to which I’d agree.

DeArmond is a HUGE homer

there’s no question about that. His drunken webcam rant he recorded after KU won the Nat Champ in 08 was priceless.

Mizzou fans are a queer breed…

He put 6 Tigers on his preseason all Big 12 team.

Six. Half the offense.

Kerkhoff isn't the beat reporter for KU

J Brady is. Kerkhoff is sorta like the Jeffrey Flanagan of college sports.
