Preseason Media All Big 12 Team Announced
Just one Jayhawk on the list but it's a pretty impressive one. Tanner Hawkinson garners enough votes to make his way onto the offensive line for the preseason media All Big 12 offensive team.
In just his second year at the position Hawkinson is drawing a good deal of notoriety locally, regionally and even nationally in some instances based on the potential he was able to show a year ago.
Tanner is one of only two sophomores on the list, the other being Missouri defensive end Aldon Smith. Look for the two to go head to head on Thanksgiving weekend.
If you're looking for clues into the team rankings based on the player picks, Texas A&M has both the preseason offensive player and defensive player of the year categories to their name with Jerrod Johnson and Von Miller.
Another random player of note, Blake Gideon. He might consider himself lucky that the Longhorns don't play Kansas this year with Angus Quigley making the move back to running back.

1. The dumbass homer Mizzou reporter at KCStar continues to spell it “Nate Holder” despite being corrected in the comments. He also voted 6 tiggers on his all big 12 team (including half of the offense).
2. I think Griffith is better than Johnson.

Why does...
everyone seem to call Griffin by the name Griffith. I’d think that by being one of the best QB’s in the league, everyone would know his name.
I also agree that he’s better than Johnson. Sorry to pick some nits.
