I mean when is the last time a top 5 matchup hasn’t been on TV? Especially with league championship implications? Ever??

This one goes on Beebe, IMO

He needs to:

A) Negotiate more flexibility into the Big 12’s hoops contract with ESPN.

B) Expand the Big 12 Network. I’d like to see this one- they need to at least get on the Sports Tier of Direct TV as a full-time channel like the Big Ten network. It could show baseball, volleyball, etc. Plus, it would give pretty much everyone a chance to see games like this, and an increase in revenues could lower the risk of having schools poached by the Big Ten or other conferences.

"Here are our top priorities: recruit, beat Missouri, recruit, win the North, recruit, win the Big 12, and in most cases if you win the Big 12 then you're playing for a National Championship. And then we're going to recruit."

I've got my opinion...

and a little banging of the Big 12 North drum coming tomorrow. This is crap, plain and simple and another example of the BS that is the Big 12 television deals. Hard to complain as a Kansas fan since we get most of the games anyhow, but whether it’s football or basketball we really are getting hosed as a conference when you consider the quality of the product being put out there. I guess we’ll just have to kick and scream till they hear us.
