I occasionally play great
when I’ve been away from the game for a few months. Just relax because you don’t expect anything, and the game seems easy. (Forget the bad habits maybe?) Then the next time I get fired up to shoot another good round, and absolutely suck. Maddening game.

That happens to me
I had a surgery thing on my arm last fall and couldn’t play for a while. First time I went out I shot the second best score of my life. I got psyched for golf. Bought a new driver and went nutts like zomg I rule.
Played like animal stool for months after that. Just brutal. Sober golfing too. Sigh

That would be fine with me too. I have a stupid reason for it though:
When KU was in the FF in 2002 I had a joking rivalry with some girl from Maryland. She and I hung out at this one bar regularly. After a lot of smack talking back and forth during the tournament, KU loses to Maryland of course. The next time I’m at the bar she sneaks up behind me and whispers Maryland basketball into my ear.
So whenever I think of Maryland I get a little shiver. Do not want to play them.

One difference between Syracuse and Kansas from watching tonight-
Syracuse seems to enjoy playing these shitty teams and kicking the hell out of them. Kansas almost acts like they feel bad for the teams and wants to keep them in games.

Yeah, it's tough to describe.
But even in games where they stomp the lesser teams, it’s not like they ever really enjoyed those games. Syracuse looks like they’re loving it. Almost mean about it.

Syracuse does look more practiced
KU often looks like they’re still figuring out their game, or something. KU and Syracuse look like they’re running the machine while KU often seems like they’re trying stuff for the first time, a lot. On offense, at least.
