As the days continue on, the games get better. SEC and ACC action, Big East Final, Big 10 upsets. Plenty to look forward to today and of course the one we'll all be waiting for at 5pm CST, Kansas vs. Kansas State for the Big 12 Title. We'll have a separate Open Thread for that game, but for now join us here if you feel like talking basketball this afternoon while you take in the games.
Kentucky vs Tennessee - Noon CST
Miami vs Duke - 12:30pm CST
Illinois vs Ohio State - 12:40pm CST
Vanderbilt vs Miss State - 2pm CST
Minnesota vs Purdue - 3pm CST

and while I was at CBS, I found this nugget in regards to KU's shooting.
it’s evident they do not have a shooting coach though as when he is off he is almost always short…I would get him focused on getting the ball over the rim EVERY time, that way the ball always has a chance to go in…

Didn't the article kind of make the point that expanding the tournament wouldn't hurt conference tourneys at all?
He starts by talking about how last night’s game was meaningless in regards to the NCAA tournament. Then he talks about how the teams don’t care about that and want to win because they play for pride.
Wouldn’t that be the case with the expanded tournament as well?

Well looks like my evening just became a gathering here at the house...
not sure I’ll be around for the OGT, but certainly enjoy the game and we’ll have a selection Sunday thread tomorrow. Warden, KC…we’ll need to plan content for the week tomorrow as well. I’ll send a draft with my thoughts, fill in yours and we’ll see what we can come up with.

He won’t have the recruiting benefits he had in the SEC or the Big XII. Sure, A&M wasn’t exactly basketball central when he took over the program, but it sure isn’t Conference USA.
But he’ll be able to hang with Eustachy at least twice a year, so that’s definitely an upside for him.

Baseball Score: KU 2 - LSU 0 (end of 1st inning)
KU got some offense going in the top of the first. Manship and Stanfield drove in Lytle and Heere.
Jimmy Waters is injured so Kansas is missing their two best hitters now (Tony Thompson and Waters). Also Cameron Selik was scratched for the game and Brett Bollman got the start. Though assignment for Brett, but also a great opportunity for him. He got out of the first inning despite giving up a single and a walk, as well as hitting a batter.

LSU up 4-2 after 7
Wally Marciel came in two outs into the seventh and surrendered a two-run home run to Blake Dean. Bollman went 6.2 innings, holding LSU to three runs. Great effort.
Hopefully the Hawks will rally.

THE Ohio State University looks eminently beatable. Yes Turner is amazing, but how long can you win by the skin of your teeth? Same goes for WVU … how many freaking buzzer beaters have they won, at least 5 if not more.
