Rock Chalk Talk 2.26.10

And, Sherron Collins Week continues, Jayhawk Nation!! One will not soon forget The Sherron Collins Show that took place in Norman, Ok. last year. Willie Warren tried to keep up, but just couldn't. The third shot in this video is the best. Criss. Cross. Jack.

Great choice of video to kick off the day...

my take away…Kansas wins the BIG road game better than anyone in the Big 12 and that my friends is why we have 6 straight conference titles. Nobody else likely faced as tough an environment in Norman last year(even without Griffen), no one likely faced as tough an environment in Manhattan, Austin or College Station this year…Kansas wins those games consistently and that’s what separates the program.

53 Conference Championships!! and now 6 IN A ROW!!! Holy Hell...Good Luck with That!!

Definitely enjoyed the Gill article...

obviously the warm and fuzzies only go so far and he’ll eventually be judged by W’s and L’s but you can’t help but like the positive talk about the program.

Agreed

One of the better pieces I’ve seen on his background and philosophy.

Elizbeth Merrill

is a nice writer. It’s good to see local writers make it big.

T2 is still not my favorite player but he's no longer on my 'Bowen' list. Thanks for setting me straight KGRtC.

denver

great job finding these articals on turner.

i understand about wins and losses, and how easy or how tough the public will make it for him. i think that they will answer their critics early in the season. i am going to make a prediction, because i believe that turner can do incredible things. KU will take GT to the woodshed on sept.11th in front of a nationally televised audience, and will get the attention of the whole country.

have you tried to contact NU? i think T.O. would be glad to give an interveiw in support of his good friend.

actually I owe the links to KC...

he’s our link man here and definitely does a good job of filtering through and finding us some worthwhile stuff.

Denver-

I’m gonna go ahead and change my vote to a big, fat ‘no’ now.

Damn, I'm easily amused.

I still laugh at your random “o” thrown in half of your words.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Also, who could ever forget

Blake Griffin’s awesome blazer that he wore on the bench that game?

I remember at one point during the broadcast

they cut to him sitting on the bench and he was not at all there. His eyes were completely glazed and he was looking somewhere, perhaps searching for his personal Elysium through the fog…

T2 is still not my favorite player but he's no longer on my 'Bowen' list. Thanks for setting me straight KGRtC.

Unfortunately for Griffin

he seems to have been disfavored by being the latest Clipper pick to succumb to misfortune. That franchise must have angered the ancient gods somehow since they seem to have a helluva curse upon them.
