Update: Quick news from the football side of things. Just talked with Bernard Thomas and he is expecting a Kansas offer from Coach Gill tomorrow. Wrapping up an interview with him tonight and we'll have both his thoughts as well as some quick quotes from Wichita defensive tackle Jordan Turner tomorrow

Anyone here ever read that rag? Way over my head and I’m a CFO/CPA. Sparky talked last summer about studying Business and Economics (his dual undergrad majors) in Europe. I would not be surprised to see him end up at Oxford or studying/working at some prestigious Swiss investment bank. He’s really into that stuff…very passionate about it.
Plus, the European girls…….
There simply is no substitute for experience.
I got on an economist kick for a while...
toughest part about it is finishing the damn thing before the next issue comes out. It’s a pretty lengthy mag. I definitely enjoyed it though.

I saw this a long time ago. I plan on tracking them with something here during the combine. I think Briscoe can help himself the most at this thing if he can put together a good 40 time.

The list of seniors came out in January, while the final list that included ALL invitees was released in the beginning of February. Old news, but still good news.
Agree with you on Briscoe. He seems to be the one who has the most upside as far as draft positioning goes. And you’re right that his 40-time will influence that the most.

coaching saleries
a couple of weeks ago KU released what they were going to pay the coaching staff. there were some that were wondering what other coaching staffs were being payed. here is an artical on nebr. new contracts, they also talk about other coordinators in the conference and there is a list off to the side that has all the head coaches base saleries in the conference.

It looks like
right now based on the USA/Today analysis, that KU’s assistant coaches earn the 14th most in Div 1 in combined salaries while head coach Turner Gill makes between the 20th and 24th most in Div 1. Our ex-coach Mangino was in the top 15 before.
what are the actual dates of the combine? should be happening fairly soon.

Offering Thomas is big…heard Miller and Thomas want to play together so a commit from Miller would be great and getting Thomas on top of that would just be unbelievable…though I’ve read that he’s gonna wait until after his senior season to make a decision…but who knows I guess
But at the same time...
Miller said he wanted to decide before his last season started. So I guess we’ll see. I guess nothing is final until the ink is dry…
I would be very happy if all three of these guys ended up on the Chiefs.
I still think a healthy Kerry Meier could really turn some heads at the combine.
