Yes, it was.
I don’t think he could see me from where he was, but he knew it was my voice and reacted to it. Not gonna lie, that’s probably more special to me than actually singing the anthem.

I really think the way some of the celebs maul the anthem is because they don’t have the talent to do it right, nor the humility to say “Get someone who can do it.” Ends up being an embarrassment for them and an insult to anthem.
I’ve heard it done better a few times. I’ve heard it done much worse thousands of times, so if I grade on a curve, it still has to be A+. Do it every time you have the chance — more of the youngsters need to know there is a right way to do things!
