The 24 wins in 2008-09 was his first 20-win season at Missouri and fifth for his career. While at UAB, Anderson guided the Blazers to four 20-win seasons and four postseason appearances - one NIT and three NCAA Tournaments. His 2004 team advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, ending its season with a loss to Kansas (100-74) in St. Louis. Anderson is 1-6 against KU in his career.

A Kansas Win Would...
  • Make Kansas 19-1 on the season...
  • Make Kansas 5-0 in conference play for third-straight season...
  • Extend the nation's longest home court winning streak to 54 games...
  • Make the KU-MU series 168-94 in favor of Kansas, including a 40-14 KU advantage in Allen Fieldhouse...
  • Give KU its 11th-straight win against Missouri in Allen Fieldhouse...
  • Make Kansas 13-0 in Allen Fieldhouse this season, 636-106 alltime in the facility and 109-6 under Bill Self...
  • Make Bill Self 188-41 while at Kansas, 395-146 overall and 14-3 all-time against Missouri, 11-3 while at Kansas...
  • Make Kansas 1,989-794 all-time.

Like Candyman...

Say my name, and I’m here. As for the game….

I’m not delusional, so I predict that Missouri will lose and probably by a decent amount.

(1) Kansas is unbeatable at home. While KU might struggle at home against teams that it doesn’t care about (Cornell, for example), the Hawks won’t be going through the motions tonight.

(2) Missouri hasn’t played well since it hammered Illinois in St. Louis, and it seems unlikely that the turnaround will come in Lawrence.

That said, Missouri does have a chance if: Kansas decides to run and Missouri shoots well from the outside.

Score option 1: Missouri 93 – Kansas 89 (5% chance)

Score option 2: Kansas 83 – Missouri 68 (95% chance)

A lot of times though

Trying to run, press and a hurried up game leads to a sloppy low scoring affair like the one we saw in Columbia last season.

I’m predicting KU 75 MU 65

Right...

Kansas shouldn’t have any problem running…they’re good at it…all I was saying was that Missouri’s only chance for a win probably requires a fast game…which has the POTENTIAL to lead to more turnovers and fewer possessions in the half-court for the Tigers…

definitely a fair statement...

Guess who has two thumbs and is pretty excited about this? This girl.

Tom Brady is Sidney Crosby, except Tom Brady has felt the touch of a woman, and has his own house.
