KU vs Baylor: Plus/Minus

PrintBullet #1 is a problem. Warden with the Plus/Minus again today, and my look at the stats and a little bit of a rant this afternoon. Oh...and anyone else ready to call BS on Bill Self's twitter? I'm thinking his tweet about the game doesn't reflect his true feelings. - Denver
Not as pretty as you'd like, but a win against a ranked opponent is always a good thing. McMorris coming in with another big game on the Plus/Minus scale, totaling a +16. Great effort but he finishes just behind the offensive machine that is Sherron Collins, the leader turns in a +17. Mixed messages come from the chart, two things stood out when I was looking at it:
- Jayhawks not named Sherron Collins and Marcus Morris totaled a +15.
- Ekpe Udoh was a plus/minus beast before tonight. He turns in a 0.

They were playing sound bites from his post game presser last night and he did sound like he was tired of answering a few certain questions. Mostly:
1. How will you guys compete when Sherron doesn’t carry you?
and
2. How are you handling the lack of contributions from your non-starters?
He made the remark that maybe he shouldn’t start Sherron, then the bench would have scored 28 points last night.

it was because recruits tend to be on twitter a lot. Thought it might help if he started one, I guess.

Except we didn’t lose so the loss line doesn’t apply. Well we lost the 50% fg under streak so that hurts me a little inside.
A loss to Baylor = getting my fingers broken individually while listening to country

How often do guys fail to reach (or even come close to) their season average of the Warden +/-. I’d bet it’s more often than you think, with an unexpected, lower ranked player (typically a three point shooter) having a one game spike against his average.
But, yeah, that’s the statistical analysis RCT has been looking for. I haven’t the math gene for it.

To keep it easy, I could just show the difference from the season average. What do you guys think about that?
