While last night proved to the country that the Big 12 is going to be an absolute war the rest of the year, it also whittled down the field of undefeated teams in the country to 1 out of over 350: the Kentucky Wildcats. Can this team run the table? Let's get into it.
The first thing to look at when trying to predict a team's future record, of course, is their schedule. Here's what UK faces the rest of the way:
ARK
@SCAR
VANDY
#24 OLE MISS
@LSU
BAMA
#8 TENN
@MSU
@VANDY
SCAR
@ #8 TENN
@UGA
FLOR
(SEC Tournament)
A few challenging games, but nothing too daunting. At Tennessee jumps out at you, but I'd look out for @Vanderbilt as a possible upset alert. If you've never seen it before, Vanderbilt's arena is very strange- the benches are on the baselines instead of the sidelines, and the dimensions of the building can throw off shooters.
That being said, however, John Wall continues to live up to the hype. Cousins brings an intimidating mean streak on the inside, and Bledsoe has been a stone-cold killer. Yes, they've won some very close games, but good teams find a way to grind those out.
CAN ANYONE STOP THE KENTUCKY JUGGERNAUT? SHOULD WE CANCEL THE REST OF THE SEASON AND JUST AWARD THEM THE TROPHY NOW? IS THIS POST A TRANSPARENT ATTEMPT TO JINX THAT SLIMEBALL JOHN CALIPARI? YOU DECIDE!
