Not a Pulitzer-winning piece, but this is a great collection of Reesing anecdotes. I remember the piece from last year where the Journal World's "On The Street" reporter didn't know who Todd was when he asked the question about faith in KU football. Priceless.

Nice story.

Gives a glimpse of what Todd’s life is like as the ultimate BMOC.

That was great.

If anyone deserved a professional football career, he would be it. He might actually make me a fan of the NFL.

I still remember the article a friend and fellow J-school student wrote when I was working for the UDK when Mangino was recruiting Reesing. It was this huge profile piece about how he was short for a quarterback but that hadn’t stopped him from being a force to be reckoned with in high school. That certainly hasn’t changed in his college career.

if I could be Todd for a day...

I’d get so many diseases…

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably propaganda.

It's a really, really cool story.

Thanks for posting.

Just awesome.

And tequlia – why no love for the NFL? I do think that CFB is better, but the NFL is glorious just as well.

Well, first of all, I'm from KC...

…and the Chiefs are such a perennial disappointment,I’ve stopped caring. However, this has not stopped me from hating the Broncos and the Raiders with a burning passion.

Really, I’m not a big fan of professional sports in general. In college, though on a declining basis, athletes play because they actually have a passion to play, and they care about their school, it’s traditions and the rivalries. In pro sports, especially the NFL and NBA, the emphasis is more on an individual’s checkbook then anything else, at least that’s my perception.

I don't know, I like to think that things started out initially with good intentions, but then we just loused it up. Kind of like intelligence. We have this glorious thing that allowed us to survive for millenia and now we use it to write porn film plots involving pterodactyls. Talk about wasting the gift.

my interest in pro sports

has been waning of late as well…

I hear ya Labba.

The Chiefs & Royals can really suck the soul out of even the most optimistic fan. It also seems like some of the goofier yet entertaining owners(Mark Cuban types) have been either run out of pro teams or will never be allowed in. Cold-blooded banker-types and lawyers seem to be dominating the pro leagues, and it takes a bit of the enjoyment out of attending games in person when you realize you’re enriching David Glass, the Hunt family trust funds, or some slime like Daniel Snyder of the Redskins.

Still bring myself to watch the Royals

but I can hardly watch the NFL. I don’t know why. I love football, and I grew up a serious Chiefs fan. Maybe it’s because I’m in NY and don’t get the Chiefs on TV it makes it tougher to really get involved. Don’t know what it is but I watched about 20 mins of NFL on Sunday.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably propaganda.
