Around SBN: Champions League Preview with Jimmy Conrad

So, Texas blog Barking Carnival is going through all of the Big 12 teams, previewing them through a "State of the Union", or whatever. This is Kansas'. It's pretty good, very funny as always, but the he underrates the defense and ends up with a 7-5 prediction.

We'll show him!

Hmm -

thought he was a little harsh on the state of Kansas as well.

Not sure where we get 5 losses. OU, TT, Tex, Neb, Miz?

I guess it’s possible. But I don’t see it. TT will be down and I think KU is going to seek revenge against Neb.

However this: is hilarious.

My health is not a commodity.

Yeah, somewhere in there he or someone else

says that we will start 6-0, then finish off 1-5.

It’s possible. They are all good teams. But I think we beat Nebraska at home, and at least one of the others (in order of likelihood: vs. Mizzou, @ Tech, vs. OU, @ Texas). That gives us 9 wins, with hopefully enough, given we beat Nebraska, to win the North. If we beat Tech instead of Missouri, the Tigers could sneak in there, but hopefully not. If we beat both Nebraska and Missouri, we should win the North.

hadn't seen this shot

before making my musical comment about Reesing in the ‘5 days’ thread before. But this is a great pic.

Floodman is a grad of my high school, so I can see his appreciation for the fine arts; Kane was a Rockhurst kid, so he’s at least been forced to absorb some culture. Reid? Well, he just looks, um, happy.

Not one of the better Barking Carnivals

But only one fat joke this year.

Sawin' wood

It is bad because

Scipio Tex didn’t write it. I don’t know why he lets others write football articles.

Agreed.

I’m sure it is time-related and such, but he is easily one of the best CFB bloggers out there.

I like HenryJames, a bunch, too. To be honest, I’ve never heard of the guy that wrote ours. And it was funny, but it wasn’t really laugh-out-loud funny, and he tried too hard to be funny, instead of at least semi-previewing the Jayhawks.

He basically just listed names and then made jokes.

That's alright.

It will be funny to us when our D starts bustin asses.

Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, Anne Coulter, Michelle Bachman, Elizabeth Hasslebeck...where do all these moderately attractive and immensely silly women come from?
