NCAA Football 10-

So who else is picking up NCAA Football 10 today?  I plan on having the Jayhawks in the Championship game by the end of this week.  And there's no way Todd isn't getting the Heisman.  Has anyone played the game yet, and if can you give me an update on the rankings for our players?  Were any of our players slighted in their rankings?  And does Memorial Stadium look like it was rendered correctly this year?

I will be purchasing it....

in the next few hours…heard we were again a little underrated, of course that is coming from the ku fan perspective. I do believe that Todd is obviously low-mid 90’s level, receiving corp is rated very strong as is Jake Sharp?

slighted, I want to say I read somewhere that Stuckey wasn’t very highly rated which is wrong any way you slice it…he’s a player.

I’m most curious though if ANYONE out there knows a quick and easy way to get the actual rosters. Last year I ended up waiting like a week to start my dynasty because I wanted the names and it took about that long.

Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything but they make you smile when pushed down the stairs.

I’ve never done it before but this site claims to have the Real name rosters available for download,

Generally I just put in the names for the KU players, since at the end of the day I could care less about anyone on the other teams.

I'd love to get it

last year was the first year I didn’t get it in like 5 years. The reason? In NCAA 2008 you could pick players in the offseason to do spring drills with to manually make them better players. I would pick Kerry Meier for example and have him run the 40 yard dash to make him faster as a WR, or improve his hands by doing a catching drill with him. The spring drills were just fun to do on their own when you didn’t want to play a full game. 2009 game didn’t have this feature and I think it hurt the game EXTREMELY.

Anyways, after discovering this, I created the new recruits and put them in my 2008 game and played it as if it was the new one another year through. I’d really love to get this year’s game being Reesing, Meier, and probably Briscoe’s final seasons, but if they don’t have this feature I will be really disappointed and might not purchase it. So, if anyone has it or gets it soon, would love to know if the Spring Drills are back in this years game.

Agreed Esteban

I also liked the spring drills, although the players improve automatically over the off-season, its still fun to do it personally. Does anyone else find recruiting to be too easy? I feel like after a season or two in my dynasty (and I usually do well in the season) I haul in 5 and 4 star recruits left and right.

Haha I love how seriously I’m analyzing a video game. I’ll probably pick up 2010, when I start a game my girlfriend starts cleaning our place since she can’t watch TV. In the fall our place us spotless.

If you were thinking, you wouldn't have thought that.

So got the game....

good so far…I spent a bunch of time meticulously editing the KU roster but I’m hoping maybe rosters will come out soon as well.

Happy to report the gameplay is pretty solid, in the opening two games of my Dynasty mode Quinton Woods has accounted for 3 sacks, Jake Sharp is injured as we had all feared but Toben Opurum seems to be stepping into the role nicely including a 55 yard TD reception on a swing route. Also Bradley McDougald 2TD’s in 2 games and Daymond Patterson 3int’s

Clearly this is a spot on indication of how the actual season will go, so I am very confident :D

didn't see them...

although if you are referring to in a dynasty mode, I haven’t gotten that far. They do have improvement in players based on their in game performances though. For instance in the game where DP had 2 int’s his awareness went up 4 points based on his production. Also Tanner Hawkinson had a few pancakes and his strength went up a point or two. Stuff like that.

sounds like that could be cool

still can’t believe they’ve gotten rid of the spring drills, though, such a great feature

Haha

Yeah, I’ll start a game and she rolls her eyes with an “ugh, you’re playing that stupid game?” And when I yell at the TV she always chimes in (from the other room) with “its not real! Its a video game.” She has even watched me play and cheered when I’ve thrown picks and/or fumbled. Its funny watching her go from rooting avidly for the Hawks in real football and rooting against me in video game football.

And Denver, you bet your balls thats how the season is starting for us…minus the Sharp injury of course!

If you aren't a gamer

you can’t understand.

I just don’t understand how else to explain it.
