if we had the larger allotment of scholarships to give he might already have that offer in hand. I hope they find a way because I for one love having guys that want to be Jayhawks.

if you are referring to lower scholarships due to penalty that ran out last year. This year the scholarship situation is simply a result of a very young team for the most part. We are only expected to free up 16-17 spots following this year based on the roster.

From what I’ve heard, he’s another really good talent.

I understand going after bigger name guys, but assuming the obvious that we don’t pick up all of the top guys on our list, I hope that at least someone is letting him know he is next on the list or whatever.

Like Denver, it’s awesome to pick up commitments from guys who truly love to be Jayhawks.

The Shiver actually had something up yesterday morning on it. Says basically it became apparent that KU wasn’t able to offer due to low scholarship availability this year and the family felt it was best to go with the UTEP offer. I suppose depending on how things shake out something might free up and I could see it a high possibility of him changing to Kansas if that opportunity ever does come open.
